PSI Releases Details for ‘Quest’ Convention 2011
Pet Sitters International (PSI), a trade association representing the pet care industry, plans to hold its 16th Quest for Excellence Convention Feb. 9 to 12, 2011, in New Orleans. The event offers pet care professionals an opportunity to participate in educational sessions, network and learn about new pet care products, resources and techniques.
“Steeped in history, rich in culture and full of fun, New Orleans is one of the nation’s most exciting cities and perfect host site for our 16th convention,” said Patti Moran, PSI president. “The pet sitting service industry is experiencing steady growth, and New Orleans’ creative, invigorating atmosphere is an ideal place for pet care professionals to come together to network and learn.”
The Quest for Excellence Convention is designed to provide pet professionals with sessions to improve their core pet care skills, examine and evaluate their current and potential pet service offerings, better promote their pet sitting business and establish themselves as the local pet care expert in their community.
The 2011 agenda includes a number of workshops on an array of pet care and business topics, such as cat behavior, pet first aid, how to incorporate dog training into pet sitting visits and lifetime planning for pets in the event of an owner’s death or disability. Scheduled speakers include Arden Moore of Pet Life Radio, Thom Somes of Pet Tech, and PSI 2009 Pet Sitter of the Year winner Cara Armour, among others.
Based in King, N.C., PSI represents nearly 8,000 independent professional pet sitting businesses in the U.S., Canada and abroad. For more information on attending or sponsoring the convention, click here. <HOME>
