| All American plans to roll out its dog nutritional bars nationwide late this summer. |
All American Pet Co. Inc. of Beverly Hills, Calif., has acquired a manufacturing facility in Nebraska City, Neb., to accommodate an anticipated increase in production of its dog nutritional bars.
All American produced a sample run of the bars in April to introduce the line to retailers, said marketing director Joel Margulies. The company plans to roll the product line out nationwide for consumers in late summer.
“Retailer response during the launch process for our dog nutritional bars has been nothing short of phenomenal,” CEO Barry Schwartz said. “Because of this excitement, we found the need to create additional packaging capabilities to handle the anticipated demand for this extension of our product offering.”
The 4-ounce semi-moist bars are equivalent to 8 ounces of kibble, according to the company. The company has filed for a U.S. patent for the dog bars.
All American began producing the bars in the Nebraska City facility late spring, Margulies said. It used to be a food handling facility and had to be renovated to accommodate the production and packaging of the dog nutritional bars, he said.
All American is targeting supermarkets, drug and pharmacy and big box stores. The company plans to have the bars in more than 10,000 retail locations by end of year. <HOME>
