Phillips Feed Acquires Super-Dog
Phillips Feed and Pet Supply of Easton, Penn., reported today that it has acquired Super-Dog Pet Food Co. of Leola, Penn., a move that will help the new company to “aggressively support” the independent pet channel.
The company will operate under the direction of CEO Blaine Phillips and COO Fred Schober, who was previously head of Super-Dog Pet Food.
On its list of future plans: increasing sales support, making ordering easier and expanding the current catalog of products. The company will also explore the opportunity of more frequent deliveries to customers.
“The goal is to allow retailers to keep their inventories more manageable on a wider variety of products while maintaining a more profitable balance sheet,” according to Phillips Feed and Pet Supply.
Phillips Feed and Pet Supply has distribution facilities in Easton, Penn.; Spartanburg, S.C.; and Lakeland, Fla. Super-Dog Pet Food operates two facilities in Leola, Penn., and Taunton, Mass. <HOME>
