Purina has the most brand loyalty among customers of canned dog and canned cat food, according to a brand loyalty survey released by Brand Keys.
The 15th annual Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index ranked brand loyalty based on the feedback of 46,000 consumers. As part of the survey, consumers are asked to identify their preferred brands in an array of product and service categories. Brand Keys uses a proprietary method, which involves direct and indirect questioning, to rank the brands.
Purina was found to best meet or exceed customer expectations for the canned cat food category, followed by Hill’s, Whiskas and Iams (tied), Fancy Feast, Friskies and Meow Mix (tied), and 9Lives. In the canned dog food category Purina One topped the list, followed by Alpo, Pedigree, Hill’s and Gravy Train and Iams (tied).
