Long Island Pet Professionals, a networking group for dog trainers, pet sitters and other professionals in the pet industry, plans to host its inaugural Pet Industry Business Networking and Seminar Day on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in Plainview, N.Y.
The event, which is open to members and non-members, will feature educational seminars and networking opportunities for tri-state area pet industry professionals, both new and established.
Scheduled seminars include:
• “Pet Trends and How They Can Positively Impact Pet Businesses and Rescue Groups,” by Charlotte Reed, co-founder of event planning firm Pet Socialite Inc.;
• “Making a Retail Operation Soar,” by Barry Berman, president and co-founder of the retailer co-op NexPet; and
• “Increasing Pet Business Leads Through Search Engine Optimization,” by Michael Ayalon, CEO and founder of PetWebDesigner.com.
Long Island Pet Professionals founder Nancy Hassel is scheduled to provide the closing commentary.
The networking event is limited to about 120 attendees due to space constraints. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $79 for Long Island Pet Professionals members and $99 for non-members. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
