Celebrity pet Giggy the Pomeranian of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is sniffing out new pet products with the help of invention company Edison Nation and LA talent agency Creative Artists Agency.
The Giggy the Pom search, which runs through July 11, 2011, invites pet owners and inventors who think they have a unique concept for a pet product to submit their idea.
Giggy is known for his stylish outfits and accessories, so entrants are encouraged to submit product ideas that match his chic sensibility. Some product categories to consider include carriers and travel products; harnesses, leashes, and matching accessories; toys; earth-friendly beauty and grooming products; and bed and home products that promote comfort and possess a clean design.

Giggy and his owner, Lisa Vanderpump, will work with Edison Nation to bring select items to market, said Mary Dickson, Edison Nation spokeswoman. Giggy will promote the products during his appearances on television and live events, she said.
As with all Edison Nation-hosted product searches, chosen product ideas will receive a minimum $2,500 advance payment and a percentage of future product sales.
There is no limit to the number of ideas that may be submitted per participant or the number of products that will potentially be selected. Typically, Edison Nation’s invention searches yield between one and five products, Dickson said.
Edison Nation’s standard fee to submit a product idea is $25 to cover internal screening costs.<HOME>
