Petmate will continue to manufacturer pet carriers and other containment products under the Kennel-Aire and Remington brand names.
The acquisition includes products, equipment, intellectual property and working capital. Petmate expects to continue to design, develop and market the products under the Kennel-Aire and Remington brand names.

Over the next 60 days, Petmate plans to move Kennel-Aire’s product inventory, manufacturing operations and associated distribution processes to its facilities in Arlington. In the interim, Kennel-Aire will continue to manage all of the distribution activities for the product lines. In addition, Kennel-Aire’s vice president of sales and marketing Bob Tyley has signed on to work with Petmate for at least three months, Messner said.
