World’s Best Cat Litter, a brand of cat litter made by Kent Nutrition Group Inc. of Muscatine, Iowa, launched today the fourth round of its GiveLitter charity campaign.
The campaign invites the public to visit www.givelitter.com or www.givelitter.com/fb and vote for one of three animal organizations to receive a donation of World’s Best Cat Litter. For this round, voters can select A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter in Naperville, Ill.; Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville, Wash., or Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons in Wainscott, N.Y, all three of which are part of Best Friend Animal Society’s No More Homeless Pets network.
For every vote cast on www.givelitter.com, World’s Best pledges to donate 1/10th of a pound of its cat litter. For every person who becomes a fan of World’s Best Cat Litter Facebook page, the company pledges to donate one pound of litter. Subsequent votes cast on Facebook are worth 1/10th of a pound of litter.
All three organizations will receive cat litter donations, according to the company. At the end of the voting period, which ends Sept. 16, World’s Best Cat Litter plans to add up all of the votes and divvy up the cat litter based on the number of votes each organization received.
The previous three rounds of the GiveLitter campaign resulted in the donation of more than 41,000 pounds of cat litter to organizations in Washington, D.C., Loss Angles and Texas.
“The support we have seen in previous GiveLitter campaigns is a testament to the passion of both animal-lovers and those caring for cats in need,” said Paul Zobel, senior director of marketing for World's Best Cat Litter. “As a result of all the people who voted online, our GiveLitter program has far exceeded our expectations with each round and we know this momentum will continue.”
