Petsmart today announced plans to launch an exclusive Toys“R”Us-branded dog toy line next year.
The collection will include more than 100 dog toys made with mixed materials, such as soft plush, rope, rubber, fleece and squeakers. Some toys will be interactive and others will dispense treats, according to the Phoenix-based pet specialty retailer.
“Our pet parents consider their pets family, and in many cases, their pets are like children to them,” said Matt McAdam, vice president of merchandising for Petsmart. “Adding Toys‘R’Us Pets to Petsmart stores enables us to bring our pet parents high quality, unique products for their dogs from two brands they trust when shopping for toys for their family.”

The Toys“R”Us Pets collection is slated to launch late spring 2012 in all of Petsmart's stores in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, as well as online at www.petsmart.com.
Toys“R”Us Inc. is the latest major brand to partner with Petsmart to bring a pet product line exclusively to Petsmart shelves. The introduction of Toys“R”Us Pets follows the 2010 launch of Martha Stewart Pets and GNC Pets, both of which are exclusive to Petsmart stores and www.petsmart.com. Petsmart spokeswoman Toni Eberhardt declined to discuss the specifics of the partnership between Petsmart and Toys“R”Us Inc.
