The assets of the now defunct Pet Care Services Association, which filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in September 2011, will be auctioned off on Friday, April 13, 2012, with the International Boarding and Pet Services Association (IBPSA) of Colorado Springs, Colo., listed as the initial qualified bidder.
The assets include the association’s trade names (both PCSA and its prior name American Boarding Kennels Association), logo, and registered trademarks; assignment of phone numbers (toll free/current number); education and facility accreditation program documents, logos and any related electronic files, databases and copyrights; print and electronic publications of the PCSA/ABKA, including but not limited to the Pet Services Journal; furniture and miscellaneous personal property from the PCSA’s Colorado Springs office; and all licenses, member and vendor documentation.
Potential bidders have until today at 5 p.m. (Mountain time) to qualify with the trustee’s counsel, Sender & Wasserman, PC, of Denver. To qualify, bidders will need to make a bid of at least $12,500 for the assets.
The IBPSA, which has currently offered $10,000 for the assets, will have the right to make the first bid if the opening bid is greater than its offer. Subsequent bids will need to be at least $2,500 greater than the prior bid.
The auction will take place at 2 p.m. at the offices of Sender & Wasserman, 1660 Lincoln Street, Suite 2200, Denver, CO 80264.
