JetBlue Airways enhanced its JetPaws Program with the addition of the “All Your Pet Can Jet” unlimited travel passes for $299 for pets traveling with their owners.
The New York City-based pet-friendly airline will be offering a limited number of the pet passes through Sept. 5, 2012. The passes are valid for unlimited travel with a pet by the pass owner from Sept. 7 through Dec. 31, 2012.
“We are excited to offer this limited-time travel pass to our customers traveling with pets,” said Tara Carson, JetBlue’s manager of national promotions.
JetBlue accepts small dogs and cats in its airplane cabins on all domestic and most international flights. JetBlue does not ship live animals as cargo or in the bellies of its airplanes. Pets are required to remain inside their carriers at all times, whether at departing or arriving airports as well as during the flight.
Customers will have to leave their Saint Bernards at home, as the combined weight of the pet and carrier, which JetBlue counts as one carry-on item, cannot exceed 20 pounds.
All Your Pet Can Jet passes are available at /redirect.aspx?location=http://shop.jetblue.com. JetBlue also offers a free Petiquette guide on traveling with pets.
“Not only do we offer pet owners all the tips and tools they need for a smooth trip with their pet; we are now offering substantial savings,” Carson said. “The All Your Pet Can Jet Pass provides unlimited pet travel for four months for what you’d normally spend taking your pet on just three one-way flights.”<HOME>
