Comfort Zone, a maker of behavior products for dogs and cats, will donate $1 to the Petfinder Foundation of Tucson, Ariz., for each new “like” received on Comfort Zone’s Facebook page through Dec. 31.
Up to $7,000 will be given to Petfinder to help fund animal welfare organizations nationwide.
As of Monday, Comfort Zone, a Central Garden & Pet Co. brand, reported 515 new “likes” in support of its Help Shelter Pets campaign.
In 2011, Petfinder used donations to:
- Vaccinate 117,485 dogs against bordetella.
- Vaccinate 82,944 cats against feline immunodeficiency virus.

 Comfort Zone products are formulated to mimic the pheromones secreted by dogs and cats.

Spay/neuter 2,450 pets. - Provide 277,777 cats with a Hide, Perch and Go bed and litterbox.
- Help thousands of other animal welfare organizations.
“We know our customers and Facebook fans are passionate about the well-being of animals,” said Sonny Singh, director of marketing for animal health for Central Garden & Pet, based in Walnut Creek, Calif. “We want to offer our new fans a simple way to help provide comfort and relief to pets, and encourage our current, supportive fan base with an opportunity to spread the word about the donation.”
