Radio Systems Corp., the manufacturer of PetSafe, SportDog and Invisible Fence products, has added another brand, Pup-Pee Solutions, to its collection.
Pup-Pee Solutions, founded in 2003 by Australian couple Tobi and Simone Skovron, makes the Pet Loo artificial lawn potty platform and other indoor waste-management products.
Terms of Radio Systems’ purchase of Pup-Pee Solutions were not disclosed.
Pup-Pee Solutions’ artificial grass system comes in three sizes.
“Pet Loo has defined a category that didn’t exist five years ago, and it continues to innovate and expand the pet waste management category,” said Mike Taylor, vice president of PetSafe. “Pup-Pee Solutions is a young, dynamic and thriving company that we want to build our pet waste management ideas around.”
The sale, announced Feb. 1, came eight weeks after Knoxville, Tenn.-based Radio Systems acquired Lucky Litter
LLC, the maker of ScoopFree litterboxes and FroliCat pet toys.
Tobi Skovron expressed no regrets about the sale.
“I’m excited to have Pet Loo join the PetSafe family of products and look forward to the continued global expansion I had planned for the product,” he said.
Pup-Pee Solutions, with offices in Australia and Santa Monica, Calif., makes a range of waste management products, including Skip to My Loo, an attractant formulated to draw a pet to a designated potty spot, and Whiff Out, an odor fighter.
