Greenies Launches New Television Ad

Posted: July 15, 2013, 5:10 p.m. EDT

Greenies dental chews are getting more airtime starting today with a new television commercial.

The advertisement shows a child getting excited about a toothbrush to clean his teeth, then a dog getting excited to clean its teeth with a Greenies canine dental chew.

The commercial aims to drive more traffic to pet specialty retailers. A similar ad last fall, part of the Season’s Greenies promotion, was the brand's first television commercial.

A closing scene tells viewers to "Find us at PetSmart, Petco and your local pet store."
"Our advertising campaign will introduce millions of pet owners who have yet to discover Greenies … to the product and demonstrate the triumphant moment of giving a treat with superior taste and oral health benefits,” said Keith Danoff, Greenies’ global brand director.

The commercial will play throughout the year in 15- and 30-second spots on U.S. cable and network channels.

Greenies, a brand of Franklin, Tenn.-based Nutro Co., has the Veterinary Oral Health Council’s Seal of Acceptance for plaque and tartar reduction.
