BioStar Using Webinar to Introduce Canine Line

Pet retailers and dog owners who wish they could discuss the pros and cons of a product with the manufacturer in real time will get the chance with BioStar EQ’s new K9 treats and supplements.

A free webinar is scheduled for 8 p.m. EDT Tuesday, Sept. 24.

BioStar EQ, a Gordonsville, Va., animal nutrition company, held a soft launch of the new line in early September by alerting its equine customers through social media and newsletters. The company’s bread-and-butter since 2006 has been its line of horse supplements.

Biostar EQ’s new canine line features 14 products.
"Based on what our customers wanted, and the need from our own team who own dogs, we wanted to see a line born to take care of them as well,” said Kat Wojtylak, a BioStar spokesperson.

BioStar president Tigger Montague will host the webinar and go through the entire K9 line product by product.

"Tigger has had her own personal journey with her dogs’ food choices and ... the webinar will convey some of those trials and tribulations,” Wojtylak said.

"It’s the first time we’ve approached our canine customers specifically, and we have found webinars are the best way to share information,” she added.

"We feel that if we can talk to ... people, then they usually become as excited as we are about the topics discussed and help to spread the word, Wojtylak said.

Because of the open dialogue between end users and the manufacturer, webinars are a good source of inspiration and ideas, she added.

"Overall, it’s a wonderful way to connect with our audience and provide information in another form in today's high-speed age,” she said.

"It’s the first time we’ve approached our canine customers specifically, and we have found webinars are the best way to share information,” she added.
