On the biggest night honoring Internet cat videos, would it be too much for the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award to crack a smile?
Internet sensation Grumpy Cat stayed true to form Tuesday at The Friskies Award Show, keeping a poker face throughout the evening’s festivities.
The Friskies brand also honored four category winners and the Fan Favorite during a ceremony in New York City.
"The Friskies is like the Oscars for cat videos,” said Shawn Brain, brand manager for St. Louis-based Friskies.
Fans who watched online at TheFriskies.com were treated to an upbeat show featuring the comedy of master of ceremonies Michael Ian Black and an appearance by Angela Kinsey, a cat owner and co-star of "The Office” sitcom.

Kinsey presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to an indifferent Grumpy Cat.
The 1-year-old feline has become famous for her viral videos, accruing a Facebook fan base of more than 1 million.
In addition, she has become something of a cottage industry for her owner, Tabatha Bundesen, with a movie deal, a book on The New York Times bestseller list, a branded coffee drink and a line of merchandise, making the feline with the permanent frown one of the biggest cat celebrities of all time.
"We had fun seeing our passionate fans participate in real time by tweeting throughout the show and texting their votes for the Fan Favorite award,” Brain said.
awarded each winning video $5,000, a gold-plated Catuette trophy and bragging rights as one of the best Internet cat videos of 2013.
The category winners were:
• Cat Comedy:
"Cat vs. Printing Paper,” starring Remy of Green Bay, Wis.
"The Tiniest Tiger’s Snow Adventure,” starring Gracey of Columbus, Ohio.
• Rescue Cat:
"Pancake the Kitten and His Doberman,” starring Pancake of Tucson, Ariz.
• Pursuit of Food or Treat:
"We Love Squirrel,” starring Eleanor, Gibbous and Miley of Toledo, Ohio.

Pancake also received the most text votes and won the Fan Favorite award and another $5,000. The public chose the Fan Favorite through a one-day vote Tuesday.
The Friskies judges were "Henrile Chat Noir” creator Will Braden, Adopt-a-Pet.com executive director Abbie Moore and Mick Szydlowski, The 2012 Friskies grand prize winner.
In July, the judges culled nearly 2,500 video submissions to 20 semifinalists. Next, the public choose three finalists in each category. The finalists were flown to New York City for The Friskies Award Show.
In addition to encouraging cat-inspired video creativity, Friskies awarded 20 charity partners a total of 330,000 cans of Friskies cat food.
