If you are an opinion leader in the pet industry, irrespective of gender, and comfortable speaking in front of crowds, the Women in the Pet Industry Network (WIPIN) wants you for its second annual conference.
The "All About Growth Conference and Awards Show” is scheduled for Aug. 14-16, 2014, in Portland, Ore.
The organization, also based in Portland, hosted its first-ever conference this past August and about 24 presenters spoke on a variety of topics, including developing effective business strategies, managing resources wisely and mastering marketing, PR and social media.
WIPIN's goal is to help women entrepreneurs grow their pet businesses.
"Our goal is to help women entrepreneurs grow their pet businesses by providing a myriad of networking opportunities, online resources and educational growth meetings,” said Shawna Schuh, president of WIPIN.
"We’re seeking speakers who can help WIPIN meet this goal and continue to offer our members invaluable advice and experiences to help them succeed in the pet industry,” she added.
The organization is inviting pet industry experts to submit speaker proposals for these categories for the 2014 conference:
• Developing effective business strategies
• Mastering marketing, PR and social media
• Maximizing networking and connecting opportunities
• Managing resources wisely
"The business-to-business partnerships that were forged at the conference continue to grow and thrive,” Schuh said.
"I met some of the most amazing women at WIPIN when I spoke in 2013,” said Yvonne DiVita, co-founder and CEO of BlogPaws, a social media teaching site dedicated to pet lovers and based out of Frederick, Colo. "As conferences go, this one is a must-attend if you’re a woman who loves pets, and if you’re a speaker—you’ll not only make fantastic connections, you’ll be participating in a weekend of learning, excitement and inspiration.”
