Four special exhibitor sections planned for the upcoming Global Pet Expo have officially sold out, organizers reported today.
The sections—The Natural Pet, The Boutique, Everything Aquatic and What’s New—will house from 50 to nearly 200 exhibitors each. The areas are designed to help buyers easily navigate the show floor.
"Having sold out in all of our special sections truly proves how much the pet industry continues to grow and what a vast amount of new products continue to hit the market year after year,” said Andrew Darmohraj, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the American Pet Products Association, the show’s co-organizer.
The largest specialty area, The Natural Pet, is expected to have just under 200 booths. The section will highlight the latest in healthy, organic and environmentally friendly products.
Global Pet Expo is held annually in Orlando, Fla.
The Boutique section will feature trendy products for both pets and people—from fashion, jewelry and spa items to luxury pet beds and carriers.
The Everything Aquatic section will showcase aquarium supplies and other trends in the aquatic sector.
The What’s New section is reserved for first-time exhibitors. About 150 companies are expected to make their debut.
Global Pet Expo, billed as the pet industry’s largest annual trade show, is scheduled for March 12 to 14 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
The 2013 show
brought together 964 exhibitors and 5,324 buyers along with 2,686 booths and more than 3,000 product launches
The numbers earned Global Pet Expo the distinction of being named one of the 50 fastest-growing trade shows on Trade Show Executive magazine’s 2014 list.
"This year’s Global Pet Expo happens to be our 10th anniversary,” Darmohraj
said, "and it’s extremely exciting to see how far we’ve come, not only in the last year alone, but since our inaugural event.”
The American Pet Products Association of Greenwich, Conn., and the Pet Industry Distributors Association of Abingdon, Md., team up to organize Global Pet Expo.
