BowTie Launches Small Animal Websites

Posted Friday, April 4, 2008, 3:00 p.m., EST

BowTie Inc., publisher of Pet Product News International, yesterday launched two new websites for small animal enthusiasts: www.smallanimalchannel.com and www.ferretsmagazine.com.

The two sites will hold “grand opening” celebrations April 15-21, offering visitors the opportunity to win giveaways.

Created by the editorial staff of Critters USA, Rabbits USA and Ferrets USA magazines, the sites will offer information about rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, mice, gerbils, hedgehogs and sugar gliders.

“I am very excited,” said editor Marylou Zarbock. “This is such a great tool, not only for small-animal and ferret enthusiasts, but for anyone in search of reliable, accurate and trustworthy information on any small animal.”

Ferrets Magazine was previously published as a printed magazine.

In addition to information, the sites will offer social networking and interactive features, including contests and the opportunity for visitors to create magazine covers with their pets’ photos.

Visitors to the sites can also join Club Critter, through which they’ll earn points by participating in various networking and interactive activities. These points can then be redeemed for merchandise.

“We have developed great features that people will enjoy,” said Michelle Williams, BowTie’s Internet marketing director. “We have contests, surveys, games, blogs and almost anything that would interest small-animal enthusiasts from all ages and expertise levels.” <HOME>
