| Super Dog Pet Food Co. was named Distributor of the Year at the 40th while United Pet was named Suplier of the Year. |
Super Dog Pet Food Co. was named Distributor of the Year at the 40th annual Pet Industry Distributors Association’s (PIDA) meeting, while the United Pet Group was named Supplier of the Year.
The conference took place this past weekend, March 5 to 9, 2008, in San Antonio at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country resort. A number of meetings and events took place during the five-day meeting, but PIDA organizers said the awards banquet was a particular highlight. Fred Schober of Super Dog presented the supplier performance awards, while Bob Nicastro of Lambert Kay presented awards to the distributors.
Distributors voted Royal Canin (a Mars Petcare brand) the Most Improved supplier and JW Pet the runner-up Supplier of the Year. Suppliers chose Animal Supply Co. as its Most Improved distributor and Wilson Pet Supply as runner-up Distributor of the Year.
