PIDA Webinar to Promote Pet Store Pro Program

Posted Tuesday, June 24, 2008, 2:08 p.m., EST

The Pet Industry Distributors Association will hold a free webinar for its members about its online training program for retailers.

The organization believes the program benefits its distributor members by helping retailers turn their staff members into more effective sales people. By better educating its distributor members, including managers, field reps and inside reps, about the program, PIDA expects its members will tout the free program to retailers.

The webinar, presented by Stephanie Kaplan, PIDA’s director of online education, will feature an overview of the Pet Store Pro program, retailer benefits of the program, and PIDA’s efforts, including marketing materials available to distributors, to promote the program.

The program itself teaches retail staff basic skills in pet care and maintenance, customer service, selling strategies and merchandising techniques, according to PIDA.

The webinar is slated for Friday, June 27, at 12 p.m. Eastern time. Click here to pre-register. <HOME>
