Kurgo Eyes European Market

Posted: Thursday, April 16, 2009

Kurgo, a Salisbury, Mass.-based manufacturer of pet-travel products, has partnered with pet-sector specialist PetWorldSource (PaWS) to expand its distribution into Europe.

PetWorldSource, which is based in Southport, United Kingdom, specializes in selecting pet products and accessories from around the world for distribution in Europe. Acting somewhere between an agent and distributor, PaWS will focus on selling Kurgo’s products to European retailers, according to Kurgo.

In addition, Kurgo and PetWorldSource have partnered with Lick, a distribution center in Leeds, United Kingdom. Lick will hold Kurgo’s inventory and ship out to customers as they submit orders.

Kurgo anticipated all of its pet-travel and safety products to be available for shipping to destinations throughout Europe by April 1. Pet’s Place in Holland, which has more than 200 stores, will be the first European retail outlet to carry the full line of Kurgo travel products. Kurgo expected its products to hit Pet’s Place shelves mid-April. <HOME>
