Heath Jens Laetari, vice president of dive operations, partner and acquisitions manager for Dynasty Marine Associates Inc. of Marathon, Fla., was lost at sea on Sept. 14, the company reported. He was 28.

Laetari joined Dynasty in 2001 after receiving his degree in marine biology from Nova Southeastern in Dania, Fla., and became a co-owner in 2003.

Born in Wichita, Kan., on July 5, 1978, he took his first swim lesson at the age of 3 months. He earned PADI open water diver certification at 13 years and by 1997 had earned his PADI dive master rating. Laetari married his wife, Summer (née Boggs), in May of this year.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Dynasty Marine Heath Laetari Memorial Fund, 10602 Seventh Ave., Gulf, Marathon, FL 33050.
