    Trevor Hagen
    has resigned as chief operating officer of Rolf C. Hagen (USA) Corp. for personal reasons. Robert DeRusha, assistant general manager, was appointed general manager on an interim basis. The company saw sales grow 8 percent in 2007, despite a shift in distribution strategy from distributors to internal, and launched more than 100 new items at Global Pet Expo.

  • The Procter & Gamble Co., based in Cincinnati, in February promoted John Goodwin to president of its global snacks and pet care unit, which includes the Iams and Eukanuba brands. Goodwin previously served as vice president of finance and accounting for P&G’s global health and well-being business.

  • Joel Adamson, senior vice president of business development for Sergeant’s Pet Care Products, is joining Brakke Consulting, an animal health consulting firm based in Dallas, as a consultant. “Joel’s expertise will be particularly useful to a number of our client companies that either now serve or are considering serving the OTC pet market,” wrote Ron Brakke in announcing Adamson’s hire. Many of Brakke’s current customers are pharmaceutical companies with animal health units. Adamson will continue to work for Sergeant’s as well.

  • American Pet Diner of Eureka, Nev., has hired Kay Daly as regional manager for sales and marketing. The company expects an increase in sales with the launch of its Critter Be Better small-animal supplements. The line, which hit shelves in March, includes Papaya Blast daily hairball remedy, Enzyme Blast daily digestive therapy, Flora Blast daily probiotic water therapy, and Berry Blast daily urinary health supplement.

  • Sojourner Farms Pet Food Co. of Minneapolis has hired Stephanie Bell as its national sales manager. Previously, Bell worked with Natura Pet Products, Nelson Wholesale Services as vice president of sales and marketing, and Merrick Pet Care, where she was named sales representative of the year in 2004, Sojourner reported. <HOME>
