Virbac Corp. has hired Jean Nelson, CPA, as chief financial officer. Nelson was most recently vice president and chief financial officer of AMX Corp.

Nelson's appointment follows the resignation of Joseph A. Rougraff, former CFO and secretary of Virbac.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is currently investigating the company, located in Fort Worth, Texas, and its accounting practices. Virbac expects to release revised financial statements for the past few years when its auditors, PricewaterhouseCoopers, complete an audit of its 2001, 2002 and 2003 financial information. The company reports that Nelson's arrival will accelerate the pace of progress on the release of financial information.
