Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Chalfont-Pa.-based division of Mars Inc., promoted national sales manager David Bowen to North American sales director.

The company credits Bowen with growing its treatment category, Rena electrical products, Aqaurian Flake Fish Food and PondCare product categories significantly in a short time.

Bowen, who previously reported to retiring company co-founder Al Abrevaya, will report to recently named general manager Chris Cummins.

Before joining Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, Bowen held sales management positions with Godiva Chocolatier, Ray-Ban Sun Optics, Sunbeam Corp. and Polaroid Corp.
