Californian Wins Exo Terra Photo Contest

Michael Kern of Palo Alto, Calif. has won Exo Terra’s 2005 Nactus Award for photography from more than 600 entries.

As winner, Kern becomes the official photographer of the 2005 Exo Terra Expedition to Uganda. The 15-day trip begins Dec. 1, a prize valued at thousands of dollars.

The prize-winning picture of a Rainbow Boa garnered more than 2,500 votes in voting on the Exo Terra web site between Oct. 10 and 23.

The winner was selected from a dozen full-color photos of reptiles and amphibians, which can be viewed on the company’s website, www.exo-terra.com.
