I’d like to share with you a couple products that I find to be good safety products for dogs.
Puppy Bumpers, an award-winning, patented product made in the USA, allows dogs to play in yards and stay outside on balconies or decks with less fear of them slipping through railings.

Stuffed pillow safety collars, Puppy Bumpers are made of 100 percent cotton with polyester fiberfill. Don’t worry about getting them dirty; simply wash them on a gentle cycle with cold water, and tumble dry. They easily attach to your dog’s existing collar via little ribbon loops on the inside neck hole. Slip the pup’s collar through the loops, clasp the collar on the dog, and you are ready to go. The bumpers are designed to not restrict movement, yet when properly attached the collar inhibits dogs from squeezing through or under a fence or gate, or between balcony rails.
Puppy Bumpers make great medical collars. I work with many rescue groups. Often we take in special-needs dogs that often require surgery, and we discovered that Puppy Bumpers make a great alternative to medical cones. Besides an assortment of fashionable patterns, the dog has a built-in pillow to rest its head versus the typical cone or even the newer plastic neck rolls. Also worth mentioning, although specifically designed for dogs, some customers do use the bumpers on their cats. However, they are not as effective, as cats can jump over the fence or rail.
Consumers should always exercise caution and supervise their pets. Prior to using Puppy Bumper they should test it to ensure it is addressing their needs. Dogs should not be left unattended while wearing Puppy Bumpers.
PetDek, another innovative USA-made safety item, is a patented, engineered, molded rear-seat shelf that converts a car’s back seat into a practical carrying area and creates a safer way for your pet to travel. The PetDek unfolds to a 23? x 48? x 2? plastic surface with two adjustable legs that sit on the bottom of a car’s floor. When the PetDek is situated in the back seat, it creates a flat deck space for a pet bed or crate, or even personal items, such as golf clubs or a suitcase. It also provides an added benefit of protecting your back seat when transporting pets or personal cargo. The PetDek easily folds to fit into the trunk when not in use, a plastic hinge helps avoid car seat damage, and it comes with an absorbent, washable, antislip carpet cover. It also features four molded-in 2-inch blocks under the rear, removing the seat slope.
