Pet Fashion Week

Pet Fashion Week 2007

Next week is Pet Fashion Week in N.Y. (August 23-24). Although the economy is slow at this time, I look forward to seeing what the manufacturers have in store for retailers for the fall market. My sense is that boutique items are still selling, just not as many of the real expensive ones.

I also expect to see more natural and organic products presented, as manufacturers are hearing a cry from retailers about the wants and needs of their customers. The show will hold a charity fundraiser, ECOuture, which will combine environmental responsibility with fashion and fundraising in an effort to encourage eco-friendly business decisions and reward companies for their charitable efforts.
