Team Building

As with most things, magazines—print and electronic—don’t produce themselves. It takes a team of highly skilled and dedicated individuals to create Pet Product News International and PetProductNews.com. Everyone here is a vested stakeholder, and it shows (hey, we have to be—our names are on the products).
As such, you may have noticed a new name under our editorial masthead. Lindsay Hanks joins our team as Associate Editor. Lindsay comes to us from sister publication Cat Fancy, and we couldn’t be happier about her crossover to the trade side of the publishing world.
Like me, Lindsay is a California native; unlike me (I’m an L.A. County girl), she was born and raised in south Orange County. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (with an editing concentration) from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, and then did an editorial internship for about 6 months at London Sport lifestyle magazine in England. Lindsay moved back to “The OC “and interned here at BowTie in Irvine for 3 months on Cat Fancy and Dog World magazines. She accepted an assistant editor position with Cat Fancy immediately after and worked her way up to associate editor (and random cat knowledge guru extraordinaire).
Lindsay is responsible for the Cat Marketplace (an obvious choice), as well as the Boutique/Gift, Grooming and Pet Services, and Holistic Marketplaces.
With Lindsay now handling Grooming editorial, Katie Ingmire, assistant editor, has adopted the Herp Marketplace, while I’m diving into the Fish Marketplace (as a long-time fishkeeper who comes from a family full of fishkeepers, it’s a natural fit). Jaime McLendon, senior associate editor, continues to be the go-to person for the Dog Marketplace.
With our “new and improved” team in place, we are sharpening our focus on the industry and will bring you the product news and information you need to not only stay in the game, but also win outright. <HOME>
