Product Description: Acrylic Tank Manufacturing's Colony Professional Grade Nitrifying Bacteria is formulated to establish bio-filtration in aquaria. The product initiates biological filtration in days instead of weeks, the company states. It comes in two different formulas: one for Freshwater aquaria, which contains Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter bacteria; and one for saltwater aquaria, which contains two different strains specific for marine systems, Nitrococcus and Nitrosococcus. The freshwater formulation is available in 8-oz. and 16-oz. bottles that treat 50 gal. and 100 gal. respectively. The marine formulation is available in 16-oz. and 32-oz. bottles that treat 50 gal. and 100 gal. respectively.
