The tag's code is linked a pet-owner-created page within the company's database, according to the manufacturer. If a pet becomes lost, anyone with a smartphone and QR reader can scan the tag and be automatically redirected to database, where they can enter the tag's ID number, the company adds. The tags are made of stainless iron and are 20- to 30mm in size; a tag ring is also included.
