Pet franchise Dee-O-Gee and Bentley’s Pet Stuff, a pet retailer with more than 60 locations, have merged to create Pet Stuff Franchising. Josh and Holly Allen, founders of Dee-O-Gee, will become directors of Pet Stuff Franchising and oversee the day-to-day operations for franchise locations.
“We are incredibly honored that Dee-O-Gee is now an integral part of the Bentley’s Pet Stuff team,” said Lisa Senafe, founder of Bentley’s Pet Stuff, which is based in Chicago. “Josh and Holly, and the entire Dee-O-Gee family, are emerging leaders in the pet industry. We are so happy to partner with them to offer innovative pet store franchise concepts across the U.S.”
Pet Stuff Franchising will soon offer pet store franchise concepts across the country, including Bentley’s Pet Stuff, Dee-O-Gee and others, according to officials.
“When inquiring about Pet Stuff Franchise opportunities, pet loving entrepreneurs will find streamlined systems, omnichannel revenue streams and community centric business strategies centered around the local franchise owner,” officials said in a statement.
Pet Stuff Franchising will begin considering new inquiries into their franchise concepts in the fall of 2021, officials added.
“Holly and I are thrilled to join the Bentley’s team and lead the franchise efforts for Pet Stuff Franchising,” said Josh Allen, co-founder of Dee-O-Gee, which is based in Bozeman, Mont. “It is so meaningful to help pet-loving entrepreneurs secure the dream of owning their own business. In doing so, our franchisees create a local ‘hub’ of pet lovers and become important business members of their local communities. With this new partnership between Dee-O-Gee and Bentley’s, we’ll be able to empower business ownership in the pet industry for even more people.”
The deal is expected to close May 31. Terms were not disclosed.
