Pet Parents, known for its washable diapers, chew toys and blankets, is set to begin construction on a new $6.5 million, 31,000-square-foot facility in Ankeny, Iowa, in April. The Ankeny City Council approved the development agreement in March.
“The move was sparked due to our fast growth that we’ve been seeing year-over-year, but specifically in 2020, which was acknowledged by Inc. 500, as we were the fastest-growing company in Iowa and No. 378 in the United States,” Liz Warner, content marketing coordinator of Pet Parents, told PPN. “We expanded to a larger warehouse/office space mid-2020 and ended up maxing out the warehouse space very quickly, where we had to get another warehouse. Our pack is continuing to grow as the company grows, so our headquarters will give us some runway for our exponential growth as we continue to expand.”
The construction is expected to be completed in December.
